アフロ・ソウルバンドThiiird Placeが初となる単独7インチレコードシングルをリリース！！

Thiiird Place (サード・プレイス)は、『家でも職場でも学校でもない、誰もが安心して集まれる場所』として名付けられた。

アフロ・ソウル・ラテン・ジャズを基調とするサウンドと共に、万人に向けたポップネス・多幸感とメッセージを有するバンド。個性溢れるボーカル陣・演奏陣が入り乱れる13人編成。

・

Side-A ”Shoes”は、ひとりひとりが履く靴になぞらえて、他者と自分を同一視することなく、他者の心情をくむことをさす”エンバシー”をテーマに制作された楽曲。

andyとYuima の掛け合いのボーカルが楽しい、Silk Sonicに代表される現在進行形のソウルリバイバルとも呼応するようなブギーなキッズソウルナンバー。

Side-B”i&i&i”は、フェラ・クティのRoforofo Fightを彷彿とさせるリズムに、ホーンセクション・鍵盤・ギターのアフロ・ジャジーなフレーズが絡み合うスリリングな展開のインスト曲。i&i&iはThiiird Placeの自主企画のタイトルでもあり、「あなたとわたし、そして別の誰かを想像する。バラバラのまま集まり、繋がる」というテーマで名付けられた。
